SCOTT CLOUD LEADS LONGLEAF CAPITAL PARTNERS AS THE FOUNDER AND MANAGING PRINCIPAL, OVERSEEING THE COMPANY’S DIRECTION AND INVESTMENT STRATEGY.
Scott has spent the last 25 years focused on the investment and operation of commercial real estate in the Southeastern United States. Prior to founding Longleaf, Scott was a Managing Partner at Albany Road Real Estate Partners leading all investment and operational activities across the Southeast United States. In 2014, he launched Albany Road’s Southeast platform, leading the company into more than a dozen markets acquiring a portfolio of over forty investments, 6,500,000 square feet and an asset value of over $1 billion. Mr. Cloud led the creation and execution of an Industrial Outdoor Storage platform which aggregated over 150 acres across the U.S. with an asset value of over $100 million.
Prior to joining Albany Road, Mr. Cloud was Senior Vice President of Investments with Carter, an Atlanta-based investment and development company. Before Carter, Mr. Cloud spent seven years at Parthenon Realty, an affiliate of AREA Property Partners, as Vice President of Acquisitions.
Over his career, he has been involved in all facets of commercial real estate, investing institutional and private capital in over 22 million square feet of real estate with a gross asset value of $2.5 billion.
Scott earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Alabama and an M.B.A. from the University of Florida’s Hough Graduate School of Business. An active member of NAIOP and ULI, Mr. Cloud holds board roles at the University of Alabama Culverhouse College of Business and the Boys and Girls Club of Middle Tennessee. He lives in Nashville, Tennessee with his wife and three children.
